While Hurricane Wilma was lashing the Florida shores an artist started to carve into a piece of balsa wood. That artist was Kenneth C. Firkowski of
He carved a Tiki which he believes protected him from the storm as his home was left untouched, while all around him saw damage.
His 12” carving was the very first ‘Lucky Traveler Tiki’.
